Portrait of a Woman Inforgraphic

Those of you who follow me on Facebook know I am a huge book lover and upcoming author. One of favorite things in a book is a strong female character. It just brings the book together and makes me crave more.

There has been numerous women both written by and written about that have been an inspiration to my life and career. A few are even mentioned in the graphic below. So with a light heart, I hope you do enjoy!

  6. I have two favorite works of literature from your list. One is I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings, and Me: Stories of My Life. I do favor Katherine Hepburn over all other works. I think she is one of the most fascinating women of her times and of current times. She once said and I quote I don't want to be alone, I just want to be left alone." I'm pretty sure women all over have had or expressed this sentiment. I believe you will have considerable success in your writing as your subject is one of much interest.

  10. I love books! My books have been my sanctuary when I need to get away for awhile. Since I was small, I can remember just wanting to curl up with a really good book and not be disturbed by my mother saying, "that I should be outside playing with my friends instead." My teenage daughter and I just finished reading the story about Anne Frank and all the other stories that go with the Holocaust. Anne Frank's book is deep, but very interesting and sad!

  13. I think that girls from a young age should be taught to be more than princesses. That they can be anything.

  14. I absolutely love the way these silhouettes are done and would love to see them done for many feminists and historical figures! So glad you're promoting Women's History Month. Too many women have been convinced that feminism is just another F-word they shouldn't utter or think about.

  15. I think it would be very encouraging for our kids to read stories about courageous women and men. I would want my grandkids to read about people who love our country and are willing to take a moral stand to see that truth and justice prevail.
