Leprechaun Bait Craft

Have some fun with the kids this St. Patty's day with this easy to recreate Leprechaun Bait Craft!

Ingredients:

  • Mini Marshmallows
  • Cellophane Party Bags
  • Cardstock
  • Stapler

Directions:

  1. Print the bag labels on cardstock or heavy paper.  Cut out and fold in half along guide.
  2. Sort the green marshmallows from the rest.  Set aside.
  3. Trim 5” from the top of each cellophane bag.  Fill with the green marshmallows, trying not to expand the sides (this makes it easier to attach label).  When filled, fold the top of the bag over and staple to hold.  Attach the label, stapling on each side.

  2. I love the idea of trying to catch a leprechaun. I think it would be lots of fun creating the bait to lure one in with help from the children Maybe if we can in fact catch one, he'll lead us to that elusive pot of gold.

  4. That is an adorable idea! I really love that there are so many new ideas out there for celebrating holidays like St. Patrick's, which traditionally didn't offer much in the way of opportunities for kids and families. Love stuff like this!

  9. I think this is a cool idea. If my son was a lot younger, he would really like this. Since the character mascot for the cereal is a Leprechaun, this is definitely appropriate bait to try and catch the little critter. Another reason I like it is that I really like this cereal too. Thanks for the great idea.
