Ingredients:
·
Large pretzel logs
·
White chocolate candy melt
·
Gummy Life Saver candy
·
Gum drops
·
Fruit leather (cut into ¼” – ½” strips)
·
Black decorating gel
·
Orange sprinkles
Begin
by preparing the gummy top hats. Carefully stretch the gummy Life Saver over
the rounded end of the gum drop. Pull it
far enough up that it will not slip off but leave a generous amount of gum drop
exposed.
Heat
candy melt in microwave for approximately 45 seconds, stir until smooth. Carefully spoon the candy melt over ½ of each
pretzel. Add gummy hat and the orange
sprinkle for the nose while the candy melt is still soft and this will set them
in place.
After
all hats and noses are attached and candy melt has begun to harden, add the
fruit leather scarf. Wrap the strip
around the pretzel from the back and twist towards one side of the front to
secure it.
Using the black decorating
gel, carefully dot 2 eyes, and several dots for mouth and buttons down the
front of the body.

ReplyDeleteHe's salty, he's sweet, and pretty cute to boot. I had never seen or heard of decorating gel, so now I will be on a mission to find some. These would be really unique to add to a present. I could see wrapping each one in cellophane and tying them to the top with ribbon. I think people appreciate handmade gifts, and you know this is something they probably have not seen before. Like their most famous brother, Frosty, these little guys will disappear quickly.
