Offering a free week of swim lessons Nov. 3 – 8 to teach children Lessons for Life

Aqua-Tots Swim Schools, a leader in swim instruction, is making a splash in Des Moines with a brand new indoor facility. The newest Aqua-Tots Swim School, located at 7125 Mills Civic Parkway in West Des Moines near the Jordan Creek Town Center, is opening its doors to swimmers on Monday, Nov. 3 with a free week of swim lessons through Saturday, Nov. 8.

The facility is the first dedicated swim school in the Des Moines area and offers a convenient location for quality swim instruction to residents of Des Moines, West Des Moines, Clive, Urbandale and surrounding areas.

The year-round facility features a 46 X 24 foot indoor pool heated to a comfortable 90 degrees; a viewing area with free Wi-Fi services for parents; spacious and clean changing rooms for swimmers; a play area for siblings and children not participating in lessons; and a snack bar and retail area.

Aqua-Tots Des Moines owner Steve Matthews has been involved in swimming and teaching swim lessons for more than 30 years. Matthews became Aqua-Tots Swim Schools’ second franchise owner in 2007 and currently owns four Aqua-Tots businesses.

“At Aqua-Tots, we are truly committed to our communities by teaching children safety and confidence in the water and getting a chance to watch them succeed,” said Matthews. “As the only dedicated swim school in DesMoines, this new location allows us to make a needed impact in the Des Moines community, teaching young swimmers lessons for life in a safe and welcoming environment.”

In addition to offering free swim lessons for its first week of business, the new Aqua-Tots Swim School will waive registration fees for the first 100 customers to sign up for swim lessons.

Aqua-Tots Des Moines operates with flexible daily swim schedules from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. The facility offers a variety of swim instruction with small class sizes, including lessons for children six-months and older, adult classes, weekend classes and more. Families can enjoy discounts when registering a second child.

  1. All kids should learn the basics of swimming. Even though we in Iowa arent near an ocean doesnt mean there isn a time when camping near lakes or rivers this wouldnt save your life.
