Surprizingly Increased Obesity Rates

Obesity has become a serious problem for people in North America with nearly 40% of Canadians having a weight problem according to the World Health Organisation (WHO). WHO is calling this high obesity rate - an epidemic. As people get fatter their bad cholesterol levels increase placing more stress on the blood vessels and heart. This can lead to higher heart attack rates. Buy Canadian Zetia to solve your cholesterol problems.

Increasing Obesity Rates

The human body requires a certain amount of calories every day. If someone consumes more, then the body stores this as fat. As Canadians have become more wealthy, they have been able to afford more food and work less strenuous jobs. This has placed two burdens on their metabolism: 1) More weight and 2) Less exercise.

With more weight, the body is stressed. Imagine a car engine. If you increase the weight with a trailer, it will have a more difficult time climbing a hill. The same is true for the body. The heart becomes tired when you carry more weight.

Most societies began with the rigors of farming. You got up early in the morning and worked hard all day. Modern Canada has automobiles, elevators and desk jobs that do not require much physical labor. All of this has lead to a less efficient body metabolism. More Canadians are taking Zetia to reduce the bad cholesterol in their bodies.

  1. Interesting article. I really don't know much at all about Canada, but I know our obesity rate in America is really bad too. I wonder who stacks up worse between Canada and the US?

  3. It is just sad that a burger is cheaper then a salad. Parents also need to take away electronics and get their kids moving. Parents also have to realize their kids copy them. they see you exercising they will want to do it too!

  5. It's becoming an issue in Australia too, it's such a shame, especially with kids. It's okay to eat a bit of junk food in moderation but there's a real limit!

  8. I guess I have never looked at it that way. We all need to get out and exercise more. Take the stairs, park away from the door of the store and walk more, Take walks or ride bikes with our families. We as parents need to start doing this now.

  9. We all take advantage of the easy things. We need to start getting more involved as parents and get out taking walks or riding bike as a family. We need to park away from the front door and walk further to get inside when we go to the store and take the stairs. The best time to start is now.

  10. I would think that obescity would be down. More and more people have healthier eating and habits than before. "You know the old saying - you are what you eat"
